Greetings to all the other STA2 dependants.
First of all, thank you for downloading these files. I like to present you my first ship, the "Metropolitan Class" (...yes, I know its a dump name...) for the Federation side. Its design is like mixing Constitution Class with Ambassador. Equipped with L.R.G.T.S. (Long-Range Gatling Torpedo System), the Metropolitan is the right ship to keep the enemy away from the fleet.

The Ship is "NON CANNON", the idea/design, 3d model, textures (apart from the borg textures,i can not remember from whom they are, so please give me a signal and i will give the artist credits) are done by me. There are texture variants that give the ship an old, rusty look (65 years of service, or so...), also included is a variant for the buildbutton.
Included are two "new" weapon systems: a fast fireing but low damage causing phaser and, as mentioned above, L.R.G.T.S. (causing not so much damage too, ceeping some kind of ballance in the game). The Model has 957 polys.

To get the ship into the game (... for the most of you, this will be nothing new), do the following:
-> copy the fmetrop.odf file into the odf folder in your armada2 folder
-> copy the contents of the weapons folder into their matches in your armada2 folder
-> copy the fmetrop.sod file into the sod folder of ...
-> copy the textures into your armada2 textures folder
-> add the bitmap fmetrop.bmp into "bitmaps"->"AdmiralsLog"->"ShipImages"

-> open the techtree folder
	-> here open tech1.tt
	-> add fmetrop.odf 0 under the federation ships

-> open your odf folder
	-> here open the stations folder
	-> select a yard or base and search the "buildsection"
	-> for example: in fyard2.odf it looks like below

			//Construction Parameters
			buildItem0 = "ffrigate"
			buildItem1 = "fgalaxy"
			buildItem2 = "fspecial"
			buildItem3 = "fbattle"

	-> add buildItemX = "fmetrop" (replace the X with the number you want it in line)
	-> after that, it may look like this:

			//Construction Parameters
			buildItem0 = "ffrigate"
		     -> builditem1 = "fmetrop"
			buildItem2 = "fgalaxy"
			buildItem3 = "fspecial"
			buildItem4 = "fbattle"

to get the buildbutton and wireframe working:
-> open the "Sprites" folder
-> open "gui_global"

-> add: 	b_fmetrop		gbfmetrop	0	0	64	64

-> under: # Federation build buttons
		@reference=64

then:
-> serarch:	# Federation wireframes
		@reference=256

-> and add:	fmetropw1		fedwireframe99	48	0	48	48
		fmetropw2		fedwireframe99	144	0	48	48
		fmetropw3		fedwireframe99	192	0	48	48
		fmetropw4		fedwireframe99	96	0	48	48
		fmetropw5		fedwireframe99	0	0	48	48

Now, if you and I have made no faults (I really hope so...), I wish you alot of fun with the ship in this fantastic game.
For the anomalus case, you like to use this ship in your mod or modify it, feel free doing what you want. Just give me (R5D5) credits.
